Doya Wynwood Miami Restaurant Review

Baklava pieces on a blue rectangular plate on a wooden table. Layers of golden pastry with nuts and a slight sheen create an appetizing look.

I recently ate at one of the best restaurants and had to share it. If you ever find yourself in Wynwood, the artsy, energetic neighborhood in Miami, Doya is an absolute must.

The atmosphere is terrific… lively, welcoming, and the kind of place where you immediately want to order plates to share. The food is truly some of the best around.

Doya Wynwood is a modern Aegean restaurant inspired by the flavors of Greece and Turkey, and the menu is built around mezze, small plates meant to be shared. And honestly, that philosophy comes through. Food really does taste better when shared with people you love, and that was exactly how it felt being there.

The standout for me, and something I’ve never had anything quite like, was the short rib baklava. Trust me on this one. It was hands down my favorite thing on the menu. You don’t need to overthink the ingredients… just order it. Good to know, it can be made nut free. My son ordered it that way.

The other not to miss dish is the pide with truffle. If you’re not familiar with pide, think of it as a Turkish style flatbread, kind of a cross between pizza and bread. It’s wood fired, topped with truffle and kasseri cheese, and perfectly crisp on the outside while soft in the middle. Simple, indulgent, and meant to be shared.

Flatbread with melted cheese and truffle slices on a wooden board, menu partially visible underneath. Warm, inviting setting.

Between the short rib baklava and the truffle pide… I’m still thinking about both. If eating well matters to you, and you love great food, great energy, and a share the table kind of experience, Doya is absolutely worth the reservation.
